What is Optimyst® technology?

Optimyst® is Dimplex's exclusive, patented flame technology. Rather than burning wood or gas, it combines ultra-fine water vapour with LED lighting to create a 3D flame effect that can hardly be distinguished from real fire.

How does an Optimyst® fire work?

It's beautifully simple. Fill the water tank, press a button and watch as mist transforms into flickering, realistic flames:

1. The water tank produces an ultra-fine vapour from plain tap water.

2. The vapour rises gently through the log or fuel bed.

3. LED lights illuminate the vapour in warm, glowing tones.

4. The result: dancing flames and wisps of smoke, full of depth and movement.

No ignition takes place, so there's no real fire, no smoke and no CO2 emissions. Just the mesmerising ambience you love.

It features an integrated 2kW heater with a built-in thermostat, remote and manual controls, and a choice of three finishes: Matt Black, Matt Pebble and Matt Slate Grey. Just plug in, fill the water tank and enjoy.

Fortrose Optimyst® electric stove

The Fortrose combines contemporary styling with rustic charm in a black graphite finish. It offers two heat settings (1kW and 2kW), a variable thermostat and a flame effect that works independently of the heat. The water tank is easily refilled through the opening door, and its freestanding design makes installation quick and easy.
